They have a Prime Rib sandwich that's incredible, I always order their chips with cheese dip & salsa. It's not chain food, (and that's a GOOD thing)! The one complaint I have is their soft drinks are always a little "off". They need someone to correctly calibrate the dispenser.

Attractive place from outside. Not too impressed with the food. I had tacos since it was taco Tuesday. Not bad. Better at home. Husband had seafood platter. Loved the fries and the shrimp. Did not like the batter on cod or the cod. Nor the slaw. Service was really good. Everything was clean.

This seems to be a pretty popular spot on the weekends so I was anxious to try it. The first time I went to San Jose I was very disappointed. Being a steakhouse, I figured they would have decent burgers. My burger was an obivious frozen patty with no seasoning and my fires were still cold. My husband, however, raved about his burrito. We didn't return for several months and decided to give it another shot. I ordered fajitas and my husband ordered a steak. He loved it, said it was great. My fajitas were seasoned well, a little gristly, but ok. The service is great. Our servers on both occasions were extremely nice and very prompt on drinks, food, and check ups. Any server who can keep my husband's glass filled is talented. All in all, San Jose Steakhouse's menu is hit and miss. The Mexican portion of their menu is good, as well as their steaks, but I would be weary of the burger or the rest of the menu.

Really good service. Server was very nice and helpful. I ordered the steak and endless shrimp. Others ordered the Mexican. To put it simply, order the Mexican. The steak was nothing to speak of. It was perfectly fine, but nothing you would go out your way for. The shrimp was bad. No taste to it. For $15, just not worth it.

Went there for Father's day and will not go back. Horrible service, Only time the waiteress asked if we wanted any refills on our drinks was when we was already finished with our meal. Plus no where does it say on the menu that you have to order Mexican food to have the chips and salsa.

Not bad...servce is awesome but some of the food is bland and not what they say it is...a lil pricey on some things to.

Good service, but the restaurant looks like something that needs to be on Restaurant Impossible. Food was bland and out of the freezer.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
